27 Olympic and 25 World champions at the “25th Vardinoyannia”

The “25th Vardinoyannia” meeting which takes place on the 20th July at the athletic center of Gallou “Pavlos I. Vardinoyannis” could be compared to the Olympic Games or even the World Championship. There have been confirmed so far 27 Olympic and 25 World Champions from the whole world for the top meeting of the European Federation. It is obvious that a lot of great stars from the World classical athletics will be present at the Gallou stadium.
Eleven athletes who were Olympic medalists at the Olympic Games in Beijing (2008) as well as 11 athletes who won a medal in Osaka (2007) will be present at the “25th Vardinoyannia”.
Particularly from the 27 Olympic Medalists who will compete six (6) are Gold Medalist one (1) is Silver Medalist and four (4) are Bronze Medalist at the Olympic Games in Beijing. Moreover four (4) are Gold Medalist, four (4) are Silver Medalist and three (3) are Bronze Medalist at the World Championship in Osaka.
Triple Jump is the event which will have the most participations of Olympic and World champions. The Gold Olympic medalist of Beijing Mbango Etone Francoise (Cameroon) and the Olympic winner Savigne Yargelis (Cuba) who came 5th and Sestak Marija (Slovenia) who came 6th. At the Triple Jump Women we will have the participation of the 6th World Champion in Osaka Martinez Magdelin (Italy).
The Javelin Women will be an Olympic class event since we will have the participations of the best four top athletes of the last decade. We will have the participation of the Gold Medalist in Beijing and the Gold Champion in Osaka Barbora Spotakovan (Czech) and the Bronze Olympic Medalist and Silver World Champion Christina Obergfoll (Germany).
Four Olympic winners in Beijing will be present at the 100m. Hurdles Women, the Bronze Medalist Lopes-Schlier Priscilla (Canada), Cherry Damu (USA) who came 4th, Ennis-London Delloreen (Jamica) who came 5th and Jones LoLo (USA) who came 7th.
