Great participations at 100m. and 200m Women

EAR announces the participations that have been confirmed so far at 100m. and 200m. Women at the “25th Vardinoyiannia”. Without doubt the top name in both events is Veronica Campbell-Brown.
The list also includes Torri Edwards (America), Allyson Felix (America), Facey Simon (Jamaica), Aleen Bailey (Jamaica), Joice Maduaka (Great Britain) and Ivet Lalova (Bulgaria). The Greek participations are two of the top Greek champions Maria Karastamati and Georgia Kokloni.
The participations of the 200m. include Cydonie Mothersill (Cayman Islands), Torri Edwards (America), Stephanie Durst (America), LaShauntea Moore (America), Carmelita Jeter (America), Facey Simone (Jamaica), Joice Maduca ( Great Britain), Monika Gachevska (Bulgaria), the champion Angela Morosanu (Rumania), LaVerne Jones-Ferrette ( Virgin Islands ), Iwova Ziolkowska (Poland), and the champion Maria Karastamati (Greece).
VERONICA CAMPBELL-BROWN
The presence of VERONICA CAMPBELL-BROWN in Rethymno is a great success for the Vardinoyannia meeting since she is one of the top female athletes in 100m. and 200m. for the last five years. VERONICA won the gold medal in 200m. at the last two Olympic Games in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008. VERONICA CAMPBELL-BROWN was born on 15th May 1982 in Trelawney, Jamaica and has participated in 3 Olympic Games and 2 World Championships. Her personal best at 100m. is 10.85 outdoors and at 200m. 21.74 outdoors and 22.38 indoors. VCB has become three times a golden medalist at Olympic Games (200m. in 2004 and in 2008, 4x100 in 2004), one time a silver medalist (4x100 in 2000) and a bronze medalist (100m. in 2004) She has participated two times in the world Championship (in 2005 and 2007). She won the gold medal (100m. in 2007) and 4 times the silver medal (200m., 4x100m., 10m., and 4x100m. in 2005)

Facey Simone
The champion Facey Simone (Jamaica) was born on 07/05/1985 and her personal best is 10.95 outdoors. Her greater success was when she won the Bronze medal at the World Championship Junior in Kingston (2002).
Torri Edwards
